Permits, traffic school, and testing
Gainesville students under 18 can finish the 4-hour TLSAE (drug and alcohol) course and take the Florida DMV permit test online through our partner site. Adults 18 and over complete TLSAE online and then take the permit test in person at the DMV. Drivers with tickets or crashes can complete Basic, Advanced, or Aggressive Driver Improvement courses online in English or Spanish.
